Memphis Fire Alert is a free incident notification system offered by Memphis Fire Scanner.
Messages will include location of the incident, companies responding, and fireground channel if available. Subsequent messages regarding the same incident may include time of knock down, and final list of responding equipment.
Messages sent out by Memphis Fire Alert do not constitute an official notification from the City of Memphis nor the Memphis Fire Department. This is a privately maintained message group system for the occasional notification of incidents that occur within the city limits of Memphis and mutual aid to Shelby County. This site is not endorsed by the City of Memphis, nor the Memphis Fire Department.
At this time, this group will be an announcement group only meaning managers selected by the group owner will be able to send messages through the group and to the group. Everyone else will only be able to receive messages only, not post messages.
**Messages are subject to be sent at any time of the day, including early morning hours.
Standard Text Messaging fees may apply if you receive these alerts on your cell phone.
Check with your cell phone provider for further information. If you wish to
unsubscribe your cell phone, please email mfdalert@gmail.com with your
cell phone number and a note to unsubscribe.**
Subscribing to Memphis Fire Alert is quite easy:
Option 1
To subscribe to MFD Alerts directly, send a blank message from your e-mail account to mfdalert+subscribe@googlegroups.com. You will receive an email confirmation. You can reply to the message or click the confirmation link contained within the email. If you wish to add a cell phone to receive messages via text messages, please email mfdalert@gmail.com with you cell phone number and service provider.
